Demand and Supply Planner, Shiseido Middle East
Shiseido Middle East, a subsidiary of Shiseido Company, Limited, is seeking a talented and
experienced Demand and Supply Planner to join our dynamic team in Dubai. As a key member of the
Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial role in managing the demand and supply planning
processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and contributing to the overall success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning:
a. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Finance, to
develop accurate and timely demand forecasts for all Shiseido Middle East markets
b. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify demand
patterns and generate reliable forecasts
c. Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing
corrective actions as needed
d. Participate in the monthly S&OP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to align
demand plans with business objectives
e. Work closely with the Sales team to understand market intelligence, distribution channel
updates, and new product launch plans, incorporating this information into the demand
planning process
f. Communicate demand plan updates and changes to relevant stakeholders, ensuring
alignment across the organization
2. Supply Planning:
a. Develop and maintain the Supply Plan, considering demand forecasts, inventory targets,
and business rules
b. Collaborate with the EMEA Supply Chain team to ensure timely and accurate supply of
products to the Middle East markets
c. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing
excess and obsolete inventory
d. Identify and mitigate supply risks, such as potential out-of-stock situations or supply chain
disruptions
e. Participate in the monthly Demand and Supply Review Meetings, providing insights and
recommendations to optimize supply chain performance
f. Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure efficient distribution of products to customers
and markets
3. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):
a. Actively participate in the monthly S&OP process, collaborating with cross-functional teams
to align demand, supply, and financial plans
b. Contribute to the development of the 18-month Unconstrained Demand Plan, based on
Marketing and Sales assumptions, to deliver the Business Plan
c. Provide inputs on the full year Business Plan, considering production and logistics
constraints, material availability, and market performance.
d. Analyze and present key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand and supply
planning, identifying improvement areas and recommending corrective actions
e. Financially reconcile the outputs of the S&OP to providing insights and recommendations to
drive overall business performance
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related
field
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand and supply planning, preferably within the
beauty or consumer goods industry
3. Skilled in handling large datasets, data transformations and visualization. Knowledge of
PowerBI, Tableau, MSSQL etc is preferred.
4. Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools, such as SAP APO or IBP
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
7. Knowledge of S&OP processes and best practices
8. Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain optimization techniques
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
10. Fluency in English
