We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Utility Worker within our Manufacturing team to help support our business. Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.
As Utility Worker you will be responsible for keeping designated plant area clean and in good housekeeping order. Operate in accordance with IATF-16949/ISO-9001:2015 standards.
So, what will you be doing as a Utility Worker?
- Collect scrap and cardboard.
- The collecting of scrap and trash must be done at first and last of each shift.
- Check all drums, making sure no wire is above the top of the drum if so, dump.
- Dump all trash cans inside and outside of the building.
- Sweep all the floors.
- When compacting use soft wire only not the bander
- When all tasks are done, check and fill totes for over mold.
- At least 2 times a week the floor scrubber should be run.
- Remove dust of all the totes, lockers, handrails, safety rails and walls where there are cobwebs.
- Once a week will need to go outside and clean along the driveway
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Extensive walking and standing required.
- Must be motivated.
- Basic understanding of and full compliance with all standard safety practices.
- Working schedule: Monday to Thursday from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm
