As a Mechanical Engineering Intern – GSG you will have the opportunity to engage with many functional areas of the business unit, including sales, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support. This position is located at the IDEA Center in Carthage, MO.
So, what will you be doing as a Mechanical Engineering Intern - GSG?
· Knowledgeable in designing coordinated motion systems.
· Perform engineering calculations.
· Knowledgeable in FE modeling.
· Create and revise detailed drawings and bill of materials.
· Prepare test procedures and protocols for technicians.
· Document test results and generate high level summary reports.
· Work with others outside of engineering (i.e. manufacturing, purchasing, vendors, etc.)
· Knowledgeable in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Knowledgeable in 3D modeling (i.e. SolidWorks)
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
· Working towards Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
· Demonstrated experience in many of the listed responsibilities.
· Communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
Things we consider a plus:
· Hands on experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, test engineering.
· Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
· Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical departments · Self-motivated, organized, attentive to detail.
