Scheme Manager

 

Beane River View, Hertford

 

£23,299 - £24,020 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our Housing Operations team. As a Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high quality housing management service to ensure premises are safe, secure and well maintained.

 

Working Monday to Friday across 2 sites, spending 4 days a week at Beane River View in Hertford and one day at Noble House in South Oxhey, you will also be responsible for promoting independent living, through providing information and/or signposting residents to local services that may meet their needs. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working with older people in a housing management setting and aware of safeguarding concerns. 

 

The role of Scheme Manager will include:

  • Supporting residents by providing information to promote independence, good health and wellbeing
  • Completing mandatory compliance tasks along with health and safety checks
  • Reporting and monitoring repairs to conclusion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Delivering high quality customer service by resolving problems and complaints
  • Providing administrative support, including maintaining accurate records in a timely manner
  • Covering other schemes as and when required

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Proven experience of working with older people and understanding their individual needs or similar
  • Ability to work alone and manage workloads to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Proficient User of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

 The full time equivalent salary for this role is £24,963 based on 37.5 hours per week rising to £25,735 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
