Estate Staff Supervisor

 

Bow Cross - London and surrounding areas

 

£44,822 - £47,181 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estate Staff Supervisor to join our busy Estate Services Team in London. As an Estate Staff Supervisor you be required to supervise and work as part of the Estate Services Team in maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness and safety to the common parts of housing estates. Ensuring that all estate management systems, processes and practices are consistent across all sites and are synchronised and co-ordinated to achieve maximum efficiencies. You will be required on occasion to Deputise for the Head of Estates as and when required and attended residents meetings.

 

The role of Estate Staff Supervisor will include:

  • Ensure compliance with schedules, frequencies and methods of cleaning. Report and monitor all defects to common parts that may be discovered whilst carrying out routine duties or as advised by staff, local residents or visitors to the estates
  • Supervise, motivate and develop staff ensuring delivery of their duties and objectives in line with expectations and business behaviours . Monitor standards delivery, carry out estate inspections and keep record, set up action plans and monitor these for completion
  • Be responsible for the arranging of Health and Safety inspections on all playground equipment within the community areas and to report defects as appropriate
  • Provide written reports and liaise with other departments to action accordingly on highlighted issues
  • Identify improvements and be responsible for the utilising  equipment and technology for the better performance of the required duties. Responsible for arranging the delivery of Performance Indicators for the Service and that it is achieved and regularly reviewed
  • Take part in meetings/forums dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour issues and contribute local knowledge and experience to the decision-making process
  • Making sure appropriate levels of staffing are always maintained and managing staff recruitment processes
  • Quoting and organising additional works and services
  • Be responsible for the control and safekeeping of equipment and materials
  • Supervise and manage provision of contract for ground maintenance and window cleaning services
  • Ensure that adequate storage and facilities are provided, maintained and meet Health and Safety standards
  • Ensure that staff work to Health and Safety guidelines and that safe working practices are enforced through training, regular monitoring and through risk assessments, recommending updates to the procedure manuals accordingly
  • Monitoring of activities and preparation of reports in area of repairs, health and safety and environmental issues
  • Monitoring performance of staff including carrying out Smart Chats, 121, sickness related meetings and setting up objectives.
  • Produce regular reports in relevance to team performance
  • Answer correspondence from residents and their representatives on matters associated with the Estate Services Teams, within target timescales and with due consideration of the quality of response provided

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven experience in a similar role dealing with front line customer service
  • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ3 or relevant experience in horticulture, Caretaking/Cleaning or other similar discipline
  • Excellence in customer service, personal accountability and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
