Mobile Caretaker
Hackney, East London – covering Bromley, Streatham, Brixton, Croydon
£26,963 - £28,382 per year
40 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Estate Services team, based in Hackney. As a Mobile Caretaker you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas of our sheltered, supported living and general needs properties. You will work alongside another caretaker in a team of 2 and will have a company van for business use only.
The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:
- Undertaking general caretaking and cleaning duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, communal lounge and rest room areas, moving bulk waste.
- Grounds maintenance tasks when required to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
- Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C English and Maths GCSE
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Good communication and customer care skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
