Night Concierge

 

Victoria Road, Hartlepool

 

£11.61 effective from 1 April 2024

 

40 hours per week - Sunday to Wednesday

We’re seeking an experienced Night Concierge to join our team based at Victoria Road. Our supported living service provides support for young people aged 16 to 25, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, by encouraging them to develop their skills, and learn to live independently.

 

There are 10 fully furnished en-suite rooms, two emergency bedrooms and a one-bedroom move-on apartment. If you’re looking for a varied and rewarding role, this is a great opportunity to come and work within a hardworking and customer-focused team.

The role of Night Concierge will include:

  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
  • Developing good relationships with customers, helping them develop life skills
  • Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
  • Going above and beyond to ensure an excellent service is provided to our customers
  • Some health and safety responsibilities e.g., fire safety checks
  • Ensuring the security of the service is maintained
  • Preparing communal areas for customers, including kitchens and bathrooms, and ensuring that the security of service users is maintained
  • Completing concierge checklists, feeding back information, and completing incident reports if required
  • This role will include long periods of lone working

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role is required
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or people with mental health needs/ challenging behaviour would be advantageous
  • Basic health and safety knowledge, with the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Basic health care and hygiene standards knowledge
  • Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to communicate and engage with our customers, visitors, and colleagues
