Job Descrption

Bank Chef

Greenwich Gardens, Derby

£11.44 per hour, effective from 1 April 2024

Hours as and when required – To cover between 8.30am – 4pm to include weekends

Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However, you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and committed Bank Chef to deliver a high-quality catering service within our Taste Restaurant at Greenwich Gardens. You will also manage the food and staffing budget, along with the purchase and control of stock.

Conveniently located, with access to Derby City Centre, Markeaton Park and local amenities, Greenwich Gardens provides apartment and communal facilities for over 55s. We offer both housing and care, suitable for many individuals with care need while offering comfortable environments and helping with the pursuit of independent living.

Our in-house Taste restaurant is open to customers and members of the public seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Our Bank Chef will enjoy steady hours with no split-shifts or late nights, creating innovative menus and restaurant style food in a relaxed environment, without the restaurant style hours.

Though we refer to the position as Chef, it is also known as Demi Chef, Line Chef, Cook, Chef de Partie (CDP) and Commis Chef.
