Care and Support Team Leader

 

Dobsons House, Rayleigh

 

£13.34 per hour effective from 1 April 2024

 

37.5 hours per week

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Care and Support Team Leader to support a team of Care and Support Assistants in making a real difference to the lives of our residents.

 

Dobsons House is a scheme for people that have a care need of six hours or more. We provide personalised care and support and a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, peace of mind service. We are looking for caring and compassionate people to ensure that our residents enjoy happy and fulfilling lives.

 

We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of Care and Support Team Leader will include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of Care and Support Assistants
  • Assessing the needs of our residents, writing and updating support plans
  • Managing and monitoring plans to ensure a high standard of care and support is offered
  • Identifying and reporting hazards and faults, completing risk assessments and ensuring equipment is kept in working order
  • Managing the development of staff to ensure skilled staff are available to meet business needs

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in a care and support environment is essential
  • Previous experience in a staff supervision role is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Experience with working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
