We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout Moreton Court, whilst adhering to Health and Safety Guidelines. In addition to this, you will also assist with meal preparation and help serve meals. Our in-house Taste restaurant is open to residents from 9am – 3pm seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Set in the picturesque town of Bideford, Moreton Court provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, open manner is essential for success in this role.

The role of Cleaner will include:
- Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices and the kitchen
- Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
- Carrying out programmed private room cleans and laundry service
- Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
- Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
- Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards and ensuring the needs of our cutsomers are met
- Ensuring customers’ privacy and dignity are maintained and respected
Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
- Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
