Bank Project Worker

Gloucester Road, Brighton

£12.09

Hours as and when required

Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However, you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

We’re seeking a Bank Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our customers. We’re looking for candidates that want to make real impact to the lives of others and are able to build relationships with people from all walks of life.

We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all. Sanctuary also has a great employee Rewards scheme, where you will be able to receive a variety of discounts from major retailers.

If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a great opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

  • Regular keyworking and action planning so that relevant support is provided, ensuring our customers are encouraged to maximise their own potential, so that they can ultimately achieve independent living. This includes assessing residents’ needs, writing and reviewing action plans
  • Supporting customers to attend medical appointments
  • Assisting them to complete daily tasks such as cooking and shopping
  • Adapting to the needs of each customer and providing tailored support where necessary
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies in partnership with clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Ensuring Sanctuary Supported Living delivers its safeguarding responsibilities
  • This role includes some lone working and requires flexibility as some evening, weekend and sleep-in shifts may be required

Skills and experiences:

  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • Experience of dealing with anti-social behaviour effectively
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar

Why work for us?

We’re united in working together to help customers on their pathways for independence, and our people are the single, biggest influence on our success.

No matter your job – delivering support directly or working in our offices to support our frontline teams – your work makes a difference every day.

We won the West Midlands Care Employer Award 2022-23, in recognition of our commitment to our staff and supporting our teams to be their best. We’ve also been awarded Investors in People Gold status for the second time – because we value our people and have a strong focus on inclusion, teamwork, and empowerment.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive and supportive work environment where you can grow and thrive. And like our customers, we know everyone is different, and we’ll support you to be your best self. We’ll develop your skills and experiences, celebrate success, and turn any setbacks into motivation.

Are you ready to be your best?

Brilliant work deserves brilliant benefits! As part of our commitment to making Sanctuary Supported Living a great place to work, here are just some of the ways we’ll reward you:

  • £12.09 per hour
  • A variety of online discounts and rewards from major retailers
  • Health and well-being plans
  • A wide range of learning and development opportunities
