Deputy Regional Head of Service
Sheffield – Covering the North
£72,224 - £76,025 per annum
40 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Deputy Regional Head of Service to join our Property Services senior leadership team. Property Services is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal customers and additionally a small number of external clients. It is also responsible for operational Health and Safety of the service, including fire safety and delivering effective group wide asset management and reinvestment programmes.
The role of Deputy Regional Head of Service will include:
- Support the development and delivery of high performing services including responsive repairs, voids, estates and planned investment programmes through our own teams and supply chain partners
- Driving operational, financial and commercial performance levels to support improved customer experience.
- Contribute to high quality property services and programmes within agreed capital and revenue expenditure to achieve timely completion of projects and value for money ensuring they remain effective and are being operated within appropriate financial policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers at a national, regional and local level including our supply chain partners
- Identifying any shortfalls in service delivery, ensuring they are dealt with appropriately and required changes are implemented to reduce future issues.
- Lead the delivery of high performing regional surveying functions, working closely with peers and the Senior Commercial Manager to ensure robust governance and performance
- Drive the continual improvement of performance across the region, working with peers to identify and implement best practice.
- Report and make recommendations to senior management to support decision making, business planning and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continually monitor the delivery of all work and services and test and challenge the outcomes to ensure that excellent customer services, value for money and social value are being achieved.
Skills and experiences:
- Significant experience of working within the Property industry and delivering effective and efficient services
- Proven knowledge of delivering services within an organisational structure which includes a group parent and subsidiary organisations
- Proven track record of demonstrating commercial acumen, achieving results including growth
- Comprehensive knowledge of housing regulations, legislation and current projects
- Experience of managing projects with strong project management skills
- Proven experience of people management and development
- Experience in budget preparation and control
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Experience of producing progress reports and management information, including making recommendations for changes needed to ensure delivery
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads for self and others
- Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
