The opportunity:
Overview: As an HR Intern at Sephora, you will play a vital role in supporting various functions within the HR department, with a primary focus on recruitment support, employee onboarding, training, HR administration, and project assistance. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, providing exposure to diverse HR processes and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
Assist in sourcing and screening candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks. Review resumes and applications to identify potential candidates.
Draft offer letters to be approved and sent to joining employees
Employee Onboarding:
Support the preparation of orientation materials for new hires, ensuring alignment with company culture and values.
Support with induction sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
Contribute ideas for improving the onboarding process, particularly for entry-level roles and fresh graduates, to enhance the new employee experience.
Training:
Assist in coordinating and facilitating new store onboardings, working closely with Patrick to ensure seamless arrangements and execution on the day.
HR Admin:
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, performance evaluations, and training records.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to HR processes.
Contribute to the development of efficient documentation systems to streamline HR administrative tasks.
General:
Collaborate with the HR team to address employee queries and concerns, providing assistance on matters such as holiday entitlements and sourcing policies.
Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events to foster a positive work environment.
Spend time in-store to gain insights into the HR challenges faced by store teams and provide support as needed.
Project Assistance:
Provide research support for HR-related projects, including market analysis and best practices benchmarking.
Assist in data analysis and presentation preparation for various HR initiatives and projects.
Contribute to the successful execution of special projects within the HR department, collaborating with team members to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Prior HR internship or related experience is a plus.
