Job Information
The Modifications Engineer I will be responsible for the full cycle of Special Quotation (SQ) order and process management, truck net capacity calculations & data plate administration, and serve as the technical advisor for new product modification requests.
Role & Responsibility
Technical Design Engineering Conduit
- Serve as the Liaison between Doosan Bobcat North America material handling and Doosan Industrial Vehicle Korea on technical engineering matters supporting sales, service & product management teams with technical design engineering related inquiries and drawing support.
Special Quotation (SQ) Management
- Full life cycle SQ process management including initial SQ inquiries or requests, technical review and advice, order management, maintenance of the SQ log and updates from DIV Korea.
- Support Doosan Bobcat North America material handling in updating and requesting SQ options to become standardized price list options in product material as determined by mortality/installation ratios.
- Assist and support product design engineers in the creation of support materials and maintenance of assigned products.
- Maintain proficiency in preparation and completion of computer aided design models and standards.
- Work with other product & sales functions in completion/support of assigned products
- Design localized option integrations to existing products from time to time as needed.
- Keep appraised of new techniques, materials and procedures that could enhance or reduce costs on assigned products.
- Support product team in material preparation and studies for existing or new product as directed.
- Investigate changes and enhancements to assigned products.
Data Plate and Residual Capacity Quotes
- Manage SQ option lists by product family.
- Process management of truck residual capacity quote, calculations and new data plate requests from dealers and end customers.
- Provide Doosan Bobcat North America material handling & Dealer support of attachment application and net residual capacities.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Engineering related field
- Experience 0-3 years
- Travel Required: <10%
- Proficient in CAD Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of material handling product line preferred
