Product Manager - Neuromodulation - UK & I

The Neuromodulation Division          

 

                      
The Neuromodulation portfolio comprises of Spinal Cord Stimulation and Radio Frequency Denervation for the management of Chronic Neuropathic Pain as well as Deep Brain Stimulation for the management of movement disorders. 
 
The Neuromodulation division is the smallest but fastest growing division within Boston Scientific with a revenue of $100m in EMEA and a continued history of strong, double-digit growth. The UK is one of the flagship countries within EMEA with ambitious growth plans and an impressive product pipeline. 

 

 

Purpose Statement 

 


The core objective of this role, is to drive market development within the brain franchise, through focused market, customer and competitive analysis and the development and execution of a tactical marketing plan in collaboration with the UK sales and EU marketing teams. Your main stakeholders will be your local and EU Marketing teams, your UK Sales and Field Clinical Specialist teams, Scientists, technical experts and business leaders from around the world, giving you the opportunity to develop a diverse network of colleagues.  

 

 

Key responsibilities          

 

                              
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 

 


Market Development: 

 

 

  • Develops and executes the UK marketing strategy for the Brain Franchise 
  • Identify UK market trends and suggests new product/marketing opportunities 
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of tactical marketing plans for product areas consistent with the overall franchise goals  
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities and challenges related to market access 
  • Develop comprehensive market access strategies to maximise therapy access 
  • Establish Key performance Indicators to measure the success of market access initiatives 

 

 

Product & Marketing Management: 

 

 

  • Inputs in and implements product launch strategies in collaboration with international marketing and sales management 
  • Works in partnership with Business Unit Manager, Regional Sales to drive customer profiling and account level targeting 
  • Be recognised as the brand champion, ensuring strong cross functional relationships 
  • Creates and manages Physician training programs
  • Supports field execution of marketing programs through active presence in the field, working with sales representatives and clinical specialists
  • Development of downstream sales tools to support sales execution;
  • Defining and executing professional conference strategies & tactics     

 

 

 
Building & Maintaining Relationships: 

 

 

  • Identifies and develops relationships with key opinion leaders in the field 
  • Develops a support structure and relationship with sales representatives and sales management through responsiveness to their questions, needs and challenges  
  • Identifies and leverages opportunities for cross cluster synergy  
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key functional areas including International marketing, market research, clinical and regulatory.

 

 

 

Planning & Analysis: 

 

 

  • Develops in-depth knowledge and understanding of the market environment and competitive dynamics in the UK and understand differences and similarities to other countries 
  • Maintains up-to-date price books and supports tender submission processes 
  • Tracks financial and sales performance of the DBS product portfolio 
  • Development and management of the franchise budget (including programs, promotion, advertising, etc.).

 

 

Quality 

 

 

  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific 
  • Demonstrates high commitment to Quality at all times by acting as the interface between customers and the sales organisation to ensure any complaint or product issue is addressed, following the appropriate process 
  • Responsible to facilitate and champion the quality and compliance requirements to internal and external customers at all touchpoints

Must have 

 

  • Educated to degree level in Marketing or equivalent qualification 
  • UK brand marketing experience in a B2B environment is essential 
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing market access strategies 
  • Fluency (native or equivalent) in English is essential 
  • Desire to execute with hands-on mindset 
  • Ability to communicate, network and partner with a variety of stakeholders at both local and international level 
  • Strong planning and organisational skills  
  • Results oriented and takes accountability 
  • Flexible and able to adapt to fast moving business environment 
  • Creative and innovative thinking 
  • Ability & willingness to travel 30% internationally 
  • Full driving licence 


 
Desired (not essential) 

 

  • Previous product launch experience (strategy & execution)  
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical experience; other industry sector experience will be considered, particularly highly regulated environments
