XPO Logistics are looking for a Transport Manager to be based on our Saint-Gobain contract in Ilkeston. You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the transport operation at site, making sure you are consistently delivering our focussed approach to safety, sustainability, service and cost. Ideally, you will have construction sector experience to support our operational team in what is a technically complex delivery solution. Sound good so far?

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- You will co-ordinate the UK distribution operations for Saint-Gobain PAM.
- Be responsible for adherence to all compliance and legal requirements.
- Ensure effective execution of the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource efficiency across our operation.
- Drive the focus on safety, sustainability, service and cost across the operational team.
What you need to succeed:
- A background in construction sector transportation, ideally including a Hi-Ab off-load delivery model.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supervising and developing a team in a complex transport environment.
- Continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance whilst minimising costs.
- Hold a Transport Manager’s CPC qualification.
