We are seeking a Research Technologist who is available to carry out research on retinal disease processes with a focus on diabetic retinopathy (one of the major causes of blindness in the U.S.). This includes evaluation of treatment strategies for these diseases.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct a combination of studies, including management and investigations of mouse models of retinal vascular disease, inflammatory retinal disease processes, and diabetic retinopathy as well as analysis of retinal tissue specimens from mice.
This will include studies of treatment strategies for diabetic retinopathy using mouse models and basic molecular biology (immunohistochemistry and quantitative real-time PCR).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
Some related post-undergraduate work experience preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $15.50 - $26.00 HRLY ($48,620 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
