Position: Senior Business Controller

Location: Dubai, UAE

Expected Start Date: July 2024 (7 Month Contract - Maternity Coverage)

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Business Controller is a key member of the FP&A team and pivotal to the achievement of the financial results of the business.

Based in Dubai, the position oversees the financial monitoring of MEIA business performance of 3 Maisons, with key focus on the annual budget, rolling forecasts, latest estimates, strategic plans and financial KPIs.

This position reports to the Regional FP&A Manager, acting as a key contact with the Regional Brands ExCo and Brands HQ Finance teams based in Europe.

Main responsibilities include:

• Driving insightful analysis and financial visibility through financial modelling and scenario analysis to enable strategic and operational decision-making
• Working closely with the Regional Brand Directors to identify areas of opportunity and/or concern
• Financial planning: including monthly/quarterly forecast and variance analysis, annual budgeting, strategic plans, and budget presentations
• Providing recommendations and guidance on actions necessary to achieve financial targets, accelerate growth, manage cost
• Reviewing capital investment requests for retail and wholesale channel development to support growth initiatives
• Monthly closing and reporting activities
• Creating and/or improving analytical reports using modern data visualization tools
• Implementing best practices and continuous improvements to internal processes

PROFILE

• University master’s degree in finance / Business School. CPA/CMA is a plus
• 5-7+ years of experience in financial controlling / FP&A, or similar environment
• strong base knowledge of accounting, finance, and operational principles
• IT: Strong MS Office skills, proficient with query designers (SAP / SEM & BW) and data visualization tools (SAC, Power BI)
• solid budgeting/forecasting/reporting background and experience with managing multiple entities
• used to work under pressure, with deadlines and to manage different priorities and stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at all levels of management
• keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills
• high learning agility, able to deliver under fast changing and dynamic market conditions
• fluent (spoken and written) in English
