Your job in a nutshell:
This is an office-based role, which is full time and based in Glasgow. Some travel to other sites (internal and external) may be necessary on occasion.
The Product Accounting (PA) team provide the financial custodianship associated with the control, reconciliation and reporting of the payment and receipt of NS&I funds, including on our B2B accounts.
This includes 3rd party system administration, live support, producing the monthly and annual accounting packs for each NS&I B2B accounts (TFC, HTS and CFO) management of the sales and payment channels and reconciliation of bank statements.
What will you be doing:
To complete daily, weekly and monthly financial control reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of the transactions being processed by the Banking Providers and Agents of NS&I and through the various customer accounting systems
Ensure the accuracy of the transaction accounting information being input to the financial accounting systems and being reported in the monthly, quarterly and annual B2B Accounts.
To establish, in a timely and accurate manner, the daily Funding/Defunding figures, and to help ensure that this information is passed on to the CRND by the specified deadlines to meet Performance Indicator (PI) accuracy and timeliness targets.
To support the completion of live IR accounting entries.
Undertaking allocated tasks to the quality and productivity standards set by the Senior Accounting Manager and Accounting Manager
Being proactive in making sure you are adequately cross skilled to help the team meet customer demand
Proactively contributing informed ideas and suggestions on how delivery for the Customer can be improved
Active engagement in team meetings
