LinQuest is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Lexington, MA. An active SECRET clearance is required.
You will join a team that specializes in advanced network and communications systems development, with a focus on mobile and airborne tactical networks of the future. Tactical wireless networks differ from commercial wireless networks in the lack of infrastructure to support stable connectivity. The varied and stressing operational environment, as well as aircraft speeds and maneuverability, and platform integration provide additional challenges to communication and network systems. The team uses a combination of technical analysis, modeling, simulation, emulation, prototype development, and flight tests to develop new communication systems and evaluate and predict their performance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 15 or more years of directly-related software and communications system design and development experience.
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience in military or DoD wireless communications.
- Model and simulate network performance, including tools such Riverbed Modeler, Emane, and NS3
- Embedded software design, development, integration, and testing in Linux environment.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with fast design-debug cycles.
- C/C++ and Python
- Possess and demonstrate strong, effective oral and written communications skills, and must be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Possess and demonstrate strong, effective oral and written communications skills, and be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations.
- Familiarity with Matlab
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
