Job Descrption
LinQuest is seeking multiple Cyber Policy and Integration Subject Matter Experts (SME) to support the Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) Deputy Commanding General of Operations (DCG-O) S3/6 Cyber Mission Area Team (MAT) located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This position provides defensive cyber capabilities for space (DCO-S) strategic planning and analysis. An active TS//SCI clearance is REQUIRED.
The HQ SpOC generates, presents, and sustains combat-ready intelligence, cyber, space and combat support forces and serves as the USSF Service Component to USSPACECOM.
A strong candidate has experience with defensive cyber operations, cyber command and control (C2), and/or DoD information operations capabilities. In this position, you will:
- Support strategic technical planning and analysis for current and future cyber capabilities.
- Assist in the planning and creation of proactive defensive cyber capabilities.
- Conduct cyber capability and weapon system reviews with external organizations.
- Support the writing of the Concept of Operations as well as HQ SpOC Operating and Enabling Concepts to support DCO-S operational capabilities.
- Write training and exercise requirements for cyber capabilities.
- Make recommendations to integrate cyber effects for proactive defensive cyber capabilities of USSF weapon systems.
- Develop DCO standards to inform weapon system development and defenses of space systems.
- Assist in creating total force structure and documentation for fielded equipment.
- Develop and provide inputs to support the Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) process.
- Conduct Science & Technology (S&T) strategy and developmental planning.
- Document capability gaps/shortfalls and the respective mitigation strategy across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership/ Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy.
- Analyze higher headquarters’ policy/guidance and develop/provide cyber defense standards for integration with other organizations.
- Recommend operational requirements to establish and maintain cyber forces in accordance with the Space Force Generation Construct and the SpOC Cyber Roadmap.
- Provide technical assistance and subject matter expertise for analysis and development of basing actions, facility requests, resourcing requests, organization/manpower changes, mission directives, force development, readiness, policy, and similar tasks for staffing and corporate processes.
- Develop strategy, prioritization, and policy to incorporate cyber operations into space systems.
- Advocate for funding for cyber capabilities.
- Travel may be required quarterly for a limited durations to support Customer events.

Required Skills:
- Active TS//SCI clearance is MANDATORY
- Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)
- Ability to identify and resolve challenges in a high-tempo, collaborative environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Accustomed to professionally interacting with General/Flag officers and senior civilian personnel
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables with minimal guidance
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of cyber operations or cyber support experience. Examples include: USCYBERCOM, Cyber Service Component (i.e., 16th Air Force, AFCYBER), Wing (67th Cyberspace Wing, 688th Cyberspace Wing), Network Warfare Squadron, Network Operations Squadron, Cyberspace Operations Squadron, Network Support Squadron OR equivalent.
- Security + (or ability to attain within 6 months)
- Requirements Management Level B certification (or ability to attain within 6 months)
- Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with space weapon systems.
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree.
Compensation:
Starting salary ranges from $105,000 to $120,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
