Job Descrption

LinQuest is seeking a Space Training Policy Subject Matter Expert to support Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) Deputy Commanding General of Operations (DCG-O) S3/5 located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS//SCI clearance is REQUIRED.

The HQ SpOC generates, presents, and sustains combat-ready intelligence, cyber, space and combat support forces and serves as the USSF Service Component to USSPACECOM.

A strong candidate has experience conducting space training on any space weapon system and/or researching, analyzing and recommending changes to training-related policy and guidance. In this position, you will:

  • Implement training policy and guidance across HQ SpOC and subordinate organizations
  •  Coordinate and send formal course change requests to HQ STARCOM
  • Research, analyze and recommend updates to Advanced Training policy tailored to mission areas
  • Collect and prioritize Delta Advanced Training requirements
  • Plan and execute Advanced Training events and exercises
  • Assess Deltas’ ability to meet training requirements and Mission Essential Tasks
  • Coordinate Total Force training policy and guidance
  • Oversee, organize, and facilitate meetings, forums, summits and working groups that support HQ SpOC’s Annual Training Cycle (i.e., RTRB process)
  • Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • An active TS//SCI clearance is required for these positions. SAP eligibility may be required.
  • 5+ years of experience developing military training policy and guidance
  • Understanding of space capabilities
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Accustomed to professionally working with internal and external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with AFI 13-602 Volumes regarding Spacecrew Training, Standardization and Evaluation, and Spacecrew Operations
  • Experience operating one or more space weapon systems
  • Experience with Joint- or Service-level training and/or weapons and tactics development
  • Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, SpOC, STARCOM or equivalent
  • BA/BS degree
  • Task Management Tool proficiency

 

Compensation:

  • The salary for this position ranges from approximately $95,000 to $115,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
