Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be supporting our team in the Linwood, NJ location supporting the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Join our Aeronautical Information Management Modernization (AIMM) program that supports the FAA safety mission and Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) objectives by developing automation and information systems and services to address future air traffic requirements and providing aviation users with digital AI that conforms to international standards.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Applying engineering principles to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and computing systems.
- Evaluating and testing new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify those programs.
- Ensuring software is functioning according to user requirements.
- Efficiently writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures for the desired program and evaluating the product to attain the desired quality, Experience ensuring a high level of economical quality of the software.
- Planning and scheduling equipment pre-installation, Maintenance, and repair and removal activities.
- Conduct equipment pre-installation testing, generating installation documentation, and conducting post installation procedures. Experience coordinating to minimize downtime.
- Interface with clients, technical support personnel, and other technical professionals to ensure efficient and effective service.
- Monitor the progress of each activity and providing status updates as required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree and 15 years’ experience or MS degree with 10 years’ experience
- U.S.Citizen; must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
- Experience developing software/system test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Microsoft Office experience (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Testing with SOAP tools
- Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) 5.1
- Extensible Markup Language (XML)
- Linux Operating System

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
