Responsibilities

We are looking for an AWS/Cloud FINOPS lead for a pending large Government contract.The role will have prime responsibility for maintaining the business relationship with AWS, tracking and reporting all spend, researching new services to drive maximum value/lowest cost for our clients. The right candidate will set up and operate the AWS billing for a large, Government program.

Key activities include:

• • Managing the cloud budget.
  • Set up the AWS services plan, continuous cost optimization of the services plan, and cost tracking and reporting of the cloud resources.
  • The role will have prime responsibility for maintaining the business relationship with AWS, tracking and reporting all spend, researching new services to drive maximum value/lowest cost for our clients.
  • Interface with the delivery and engineering teams to drive efficiency.
  • Support the business aspects of new workload migration.
  • Familiarity with large corporation revenue/cost account processes is a plus. Team supervisor experience a plus.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the FIN/Ops system
  • Provides administrative and operational support to line management in a variety of functional areas, which may include finance, proposals, pricing, contracting, human resources, etc.
  • Provides input to help reconcile purchase orders with quotes, including payment terms, delivery schedule, etc.
  • Works with customers as a sales point-of-contact from receipt of PO through delivery of products and services.
  • Coordinates service/product deliveries, to include PO travelers, daily delivery activities, domestic and export/import documentation, service and product invoicing, warranty status, etc.
  • Coordinates with sale representatives to perform the tasks identified.

Other areas of potential emphasis may include:

• • Assist with planning and implementation of large programs in the function.
  • Assist with specifying cost and financing issues based on reviews of engineering concepts and requirements and designs, and in integrating the multiple economic and financial analysis tasks and activities involved in engineering projects.
  • Provide input to help generate quotes on standard products and custom work as required, coordinates quote follow-up activities with customers and product managers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
• Strong AWS Cloud private pricing experience on large scale hosting systems.
• Detailed understanding of the various AWS charging capabilities.
• Demonstrative ability to get the maximum value utilizing AWS services.
• US Citizen with an ability to get a secret Clearance, active secret clearance is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of other CPS billing environments a plus.
• Solid understanding of Cloud Hosting/FinOps.
• Experience setting up and operating the billing process from AWS to the Government Client.
