What we’re hiring for:  

We have a new job opening for a Compliance Analyst based in the United Kingdom! You will be involved with E6’s global privacy and data protection initiatives, with a particular focus on our internal control environment and data mapping.  

This is a role which will grow with the company and provide you with the opportunity to boost your skills and take on new responsibilities. 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:  

  • Maintaining up-to-date maps of personal data flows and data protection impact assessments 
  • Undertaking KYB reviews on third parties 
  • Maintaining internal company information resources on regulatory compliance and notification requirements 
  • Monitoring and briefing on relevant regulatory developments, with a special focus on Asia Pacific countries 
  • Monitoring and briefing on E6’s data protection notification obligations 
  • Delivering privacy and data protection training 
  • Maintaining a regulatory calendar of key deadlines, and monitoring and reporting on progress towards meeting them 
  • Reviewing vendors’ agreements and due diligence information for compliance with relevant data protection obligations, and flagging issues for legal review 
  • Reviewing draft data protection notices and data protection addendums 
  • Assisting with internal audit of information systems for compliance with data privacy controls 
  • Assisting E6 clients in preparing files in response to data subject access requests or regulator inquiries 
  • Assisting sales team and solutions architects with regulatory background information on requirements for client projects 
  • Assisting with drafting data protection policy and procedure updates 

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role: 

Essential: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a regulatory compliance discipline at a financial services company  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including:  
  • The ability to parse regulations and legal documents accurately 
  • The ability to propose revisions to draft agreements on aspects relating to regulatory compliance, for review by E6 General Counsel 
  • Ability to analyze complex written information and employ critical thinking 
  • Numerical data analysis skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 

Preferred: 

  • Background in payments systems and/or personal data protection 
  • Experience with automated data mapping tools 
  • Fluency in at least one of the following spoken languages in addition to English: Cantonese, Indonesian, Japanese, Malay, Mandarin, Thai, Vietnamese 
  • CIPP/A and/or CIPP/E certification from IAPP 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, information studies, computer science, or a related field
