Job Description
CIMA+ is a well-established, multidisciplinary, Canadian engineering firm with pan-Canadian operations. CIMA’s Communication System group is looking for a Director to lead its Ontario team. The Communication Systems team offers a variety of expertise that range from the traditional telecom services (Fibre design, microwave, etc.) to Operational Technologies (OT). They include:
- Telecommunication Infrastructure IT | OT
- Cybersecurity
- Networking
- Wireless
- Telecommunication towers
- Intelligent Transportation
- Systems integration, Data and Software Development
- GIS and Asset management
- Digital Solutions
We are interested in individuals with over 15 years of experience with proven track record in managing a multidisciplinary team and growing a transversal business of engineering consulting services in telecommunication covering Ontario public and private markets. The targeted clients include Transportation, Transit, Transit Electrification, Water/Municipal infrastructure, Education and Healthcare, Renewable Energy and Mining entities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a growing team of OT/Telecommunication engineers, professionals, and technicians
- Generate and manage opportunities with clients in Ontario
- Introduce new services to existing CIMA clients
- Foster relationships with other practices leaders within CIMA
- Provide senior leadership on projects
- Provide mentoring and senior level of expertise to the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- P.Eng. Designation
- Strong business development skills and excellent interpersonal abilities
- Expert knowledge in the telecommunication / OT
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams
- Staff management (evaluation, performance management)
- Demonstrated experience of the Ontario markets within this fields of expertise
