Job Description
Focused on the FP&A function for the Brookfield Real Estate Finance ("BREF") team, the Manager will be involved in all aspects of BPG’s Private Real Estate Credit Funds’ investment and portfolio financial analysis, reviewing and supporting the preparation and maintenance of a wide array of analytical reporting, modelling and presentations. This dynamic position requires extensive collaboration across various business units across Brookfield, including Asset Management, Investor Relations and Finance and Operation teams within BPG.
The manager will also coordinate all facets of the Altus third-party quarterly loan valuation process as well as the third-party property valuation work performed for foreclosed real estate assets. In addition, the manager will prepare internal quarterly valuation presentations and memoranda, and will need to interface actively with the accounting team charged with financial reporting for the BREF fund vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the analysis of quarterly valuation, performance, and projections of BPG’s Private Real Estate Credit Funds’ portfolios
Maintaining private fund models in accordance with the LPA
Manage the quarterly data delivery and valuation update process with the Altus Group who perform third-party loan valuations for all of the loans held in BREF-managed vehicles
Manage the data delivery and valuation update process with the appraisal firms who perform third-party property valuations for all of the foreclosed assets in BREF -managed vehicles
Perform monthly reporting process including liquidity requirements and foreign exchange analysis of the private funds
Prepare quarterly internal valuations and memoranda and obtain appropriate internal sign-offs
Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to complete quarterly and monthly deliverables
Perform and manage ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting required by senior management or other groups
Participate and assist in the continuous improvement of systems and processes
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
FP&A experience required; Real Estate and Private Credit experience strongly preferred
Experience in real estate credit fund’s operation is a plus
6-8 years of Finance experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Experience in iLevel, Anaplan, and PowerBI is a plus
Excellent analytical skills with high attention to details
Ability to effectively organize time, work and resources to accomplish objectives in an efficient way
Ability to think outside of the status quo and find innovative ways to improve or understand a process
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
