The primary purpose of this role is to provide SAP consulting and implementation services to a major project, in which initial migration of data from SAP will be essential, as will ongoing bi-directional data exchange between SAP and the target system. The role will be centred around SAP SD, with some elements of PS, CATS and FI-CO.
Working as part of the project team including the data architect and SAP functional and development teams, activities will include:
Identification of relevant data from SAP ECC – this will include:
Extracting data relating to relevant business processes and describing field usage from a functional perspective, to include creating data report/extraction functional specifications for the development team and manual extracts via SE16/SE16n (for example configuration dropdowns and rules)
Testing and revision of extracts
Building up options/proposals for initial migration and subsequent integrations including flow of data
Create detailed designs for migration and subsequent integrations:
Refine, define, specify and test migration programs
Refine, define, specify and test ongoing integration flows
Overall
Attendance at and input to relevant workshops and meetings
periodic agreement of deliverables in line with the program timetable
ensuring that solutions adhere to SAP quality assurance and governance procedures, as well as individual project governance procedures
Fully documenting the work and transferring knowledge as appropriate to other project team members
