Promote student success with course tutoring and support in Anatomy, English, Math, Science, or other subjects offered by Ivy Tech Community College. Complete required paperwork and training. Promote awareness of tutoring and library services and assist with general library/LRC tasks as needed. Contribute to an inclusive environment consistent with Ivy Tech Community College goals and values.
Major Responsibilities:
Be an active part of the tutoring team for the Kokomo Learning Resource Center.
Promote a professional, welcoming, and inclusive environment in which every individual feels respected and valued.
Meet with individual students or groups, in-person or via Zoom, to enhance, support, and clarify course-related concepts in the subject(s) for which you were hired.
Provide students guidance in the acquisition and application of study skills.
Promote tutoring to students and faculty through class visits or other opportunities.
Serve as a link to other college resources.
Complete all paperwork and training as requested by the supervisor.
All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist patrons with general library services (printing, laptop checkout, textbook orders, etc.)
Provide opening and closing coverage as needed.
General tidying and restocking of the library/LRC and printer as needed.
Assist LRC Coordinator with events or major projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated competency in the specific discipline of intended tutoring, through prior coursework or experience.
Other Requirements:
Pre-employment background check, including a criminal history check, with employment offer contingent upon that outcome.
