ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
I. SKIILLS AND ABILITIES
Maintain professional skills and refine expertise through appropriate educational/developmental activities and professional affiliations, staying current with national and international advances in simulation and clinical skills activities. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to think logically and follow directions Support daily operations of clinical learning lab. Ability to work with, and provide technical support to, students and faculty while utilizing computers and available technology through use of Microsoft Office programs- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Simulation Software, Audio/Visual software, Network and IT environments, Electronic Health Record systems, and other various and changing technology. Focus on student engagement and success Assure facility and equipment are organized and prepared for teaching sessions by preassembly of props, moulage, learning materials, and documentation Assure operation of simulators, digital cameras, video cameras, audio/video mixer, monitors, LCD projectors, and other equipment related to simulation education. Program patient scenarios Pre-brief students, staff, and faculty Operate simulation console and software, debriefing equipment, and human patient simulator Record simulation activities in approved format (.mov, .flv, .avi, .mp4, .wmv) Assist faculty in managing recording equipment Assist faculty in monitoring students’ safety Provide theatrical support (including moulage and voice over) Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
II. RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Maintain proficiency in existing and emerging technologies Exhibit creativity and flexibility in designing innovative approaches to solving problems Demonstrate commitment to utilizing simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform nursing education Salvage re-usable supplies and repackage Monitor supplies; inform simulation coordinator when supplies are needed Conduct routine equipment maintenance Provide feedback for improving simulation experience to the simulation coordinator Maintain the Simulation Center as a clean, safe, and operational facility and optimal learning environment
INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT
Provide institutional support as requested by college administration such as participation on committees and task forces, projects related to college and program accreditations, and grant-related projects.
Attend commencement and participate as assigned by regional administration.
Participate in college/service area/campus-wide meetings and departmental/division/faculty meetings.
Support Simulation Coordinator in program management activities.
Adhere to college and regional academic policies.

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to simulation lab. Associate or Bachelor degree OR 3 years’ equivalent work experience. Must be highly motivated and able to work in fast- paced environment. Must be able to work flexible schedule (early mornings, late evenings may be required). Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology, Anatomy and Physiology preferred, Healthcare license or certification (LPN, RN, RT, EMT, Paramedic) preferred
