General Purpose and Scope of the position:
Provide leadership for the implementation of College educational programs within a correctional facility as requested by the facility administration. Recommend faculty employment to teach within the facility. Work closely with the correctional facility’s administration.
This is a full-time position located at the Westville Correctional Facility.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff members as designated by the Regional Coordinator & Director of Education.
- Represents the College at the correctional facility and serves as a liaison to staff and administration.
- Coordinates textbook distribution and collection.
- Coordinates College testing of offenders.
- Explains College policies to offenders.
- Monitors offender matriculation of programs.
- Assist offenders with the completion of required forms.
- Evaluates instructors, using the current model based on RISE.
- Meets with the Director of Education and Regional Coordinator regularly.
- Order supplies as needed for the program.
- Oversees the maintenance of records as required by the College and external accrediting bodies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree; Experience in teaching, administration, curriculum implementation, testing, and intervention essentials; Prior correctional facility experience desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree; Current administrator’s license
