KBR’s Estates Intelligence division specialise in enabling clients to make informed decisions about the operational and strategic management of their estates and asset portfolios, including the external supply chain retained to deliver asset management and maintenance services. Estates Intelligence teams utilise the ‘6 As’ Methodology to deliver business benefit by deploying their ‘Viaverse’ platform to enable each A – aggregation of data, automation of transactional processing and operational data flows, assurance of process and data integrity to promote sanctity of management information, audit of processing and data to better refine business outcomes, analytics to offer management information and insight, all to enable enhanced asset management across client’s portfolio.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join us on an 18-month contract.
About the Role
The Technical Project Manager will be disciplined, tech-savvy and proactive, whose strengths are in detailed planning, plan management and analysis, governance and running multiple parallel critical paths.
The Technical Project Manager will have ownership of detailed plans and will be responsible for ensuring the critical paths of all six projects have integrity, tasks are resourced adequately with realistic effort provisions, internal and external dependencies are clearly defined and managed and that critical milestones are clearly defined and met. They will have ownership of management of the detailed plan – this will include but not be limited to; detailed planning and re-planning of all elements, smoothing and float management, deconfliction, critical path burn-down and reporting, task progress updating and reporting.
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring all Products defined in the plan are managed per the configuration management and change management processes, ensuring all Products go through proper review cycles with correct stakeholders to meet plan dates. They will be a key point of contact for Project Managers in supplier mobilisation teams and will need to build delivery relationships to ensure mutual critical milestones are met.
The Technical Project Manager will possess the ability to assess impacts of changes as needed, utilizing modeling to forecast potential effects on the plan.
Additionally, they will maintain cohesion with supplier mobilization plans and key delivery milestones, ensuring alignment between KBR and Supplier plans where applicable.
The Technical Project Manager will also oversee the storage and updating of all documentation in the master document register as necessary.
Furthermore, they will ensure that communications and correspondence with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients are frequent, aiding in the progression of the overall plan.
Moreover, the Technical Project Manager will hold responsibility for the overall management of the project change process.
What We're Looking For
You will have experience of working with multiple external PMs to build and manage large, complex (multiple critical path) plans across 12 months+ durations.
You will be knowledgeable in the delivery of both waterfall and agile environments and the public sector.
You will also be skilled in managing project coordinators or junior project managers.
