As a Sr. Quality Control Manager supporting Quality Assurance Administration, you will be trusted to define and specify activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for manufactured materials, components, or products in Houston, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Lead all processes that are required to deliver the Incoming Inspection, AS&T, and Microbiology laboratory results in support of the Houston Manufacturing Site. This includes overseeing QC Lab Operations processes, Microbiology Lab Processes, AS&T Processes, and QC Lab Support processes.
  • Develop strategies and provide direction to the team to ensure meeting of customer deadlines, Metrics/KPI reporting, and timely completion of CAPAs/action items.
  • Develop/improve QA programs, policies, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure that product performance and quality conform to established standards and agency guidelines
  • Interact successfully with divisional R&D, R&D QA, MS&T, and other manufacturing facilities to support the introduction of new technologies, product transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support for external audit inspections.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Quality Control team to establish metrics to monitor, improve, and sustain performance.
  • Allocate resources to lead, plan, and implement project activities in alignment with site initiatives and budgetary requirements.
  • Review and approve quality documents, change controls related to Quality Control, and deviation management records.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs.; Assoc.+11 yrs.; M.S.+4 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Work hours: M-F Exempt
  • Travel Requirements:  Less 5%
  • Relocation assistance: Yes
  • Sponsorship available: No
