POSITION OVERVIEW
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a dynamic, hands-on, creative, self-motivated Coordinator, Employee Engagement and Talent Development to join our Human Resources team in the NYC office. This is a hybrid role that will focus on employee culture, engagement, belonging and inclusion, and helping our employees continuously learn and develop, to reach their full potential. In this role, you’ll support multiple projects and priorities with talent development programs that will drive improvement in staff development, engagement, and retention.
This role will be on-site in our NYC office 2-3 days per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning and Development
Provide logistical support to Talent Development initiatives, including material development, communications, scheduling, logistics, etc.
Responsible for administration of the learning management system (LMS) and promoting, coordinating, and evaluating online, classroom, and other L&D training events
Partner with HR Business Partners to conduct analysis to identify team and individual development needs to improve overall employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
Assist in developing training materials, exercises, newsletters, instructor guides and other collateral material necessary to align learning solutions with course objectives and learner needs
Support the Talent Development team with post training initiatives, including tracking attendance, scheduling post surveys, and sending follow up communications
Administer, support, and track trainings via Workday Learning Management System (LMS)
Create and curate learning content using platforms such as LinkedIn Learning
Conduct new hire orientation
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
Stay current with trends in training and talent development
Employee Engagement
Support with the bi-annual engagement survey, including:
Preparing, analyzing, and distributing results to leadership
Assisting with project planning schedules related to launching the survey, drafting communications, and confirming employee data.
Providing customer support to SCA employees and managers who need assistance related to the survey.
Importing data into Excel and PowerPoint templates during and at the close of the survey. Following a systematic process for organizing and saving survey related communications and files.
Liaise with Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Impact, Communications, and HR departments on employee engagement initiatives
Monitor and analyze the impact and feedback of employee engagement and talent development initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
1-2 years of experience in human resources or similar field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills with a dynamic, engaging facilitation style
Detailed oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize work
Excellent organizational skills, critical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, project management skills, and ability to manage complex assignments
Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision or direction
Trustworthy, able to work with confidential material and maintain discretion
Workday experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree preferred

Annual incentive bonus
The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
