Cloud Network Engineer

What You’ll Do
As a Mimecast Cloud Network Engineer, you’ll play... an integral part of ensuring our code, tools, and deployments are consistent and high quality and continually optimized. Your responsibilities will include:
• Build, configure, and administer network devices, services, and components, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues encompassing distributed networks, providing swift restoration to operational status, and minimizing down-time
• Maintain tools, automation, and Infrastructure as Code to manage and monitor the network
• Deploy network changes to a Hybrid Cloud Network through automation and Infrastructure as Code
• Provide an outstanding support experience for our internal Engineering teams by working with Product and Engineering teams to support program delivery
• Perform technical support functions for our internal engineering teams
• Identify improvements to runbooks, monitoring, and documentation
What You’ll Bring
• Experience in a relevant technical role, with excellent proficiency maintaining and troubleshooting distributed networks in a Hybrid Cloud environment
• Hands-on experience deploying & maintaining network infrastructure, both on-prem and in AWS with CloudFormation/Terraform
• An in-depth understanding of networking principals and protocols
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and deliver results.
• Be naturally creative and resourceful, with an outstanding attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to connect with others to problem-solve, explain resolution etc.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications, e.g., JNCIA, CCNA, AWS Advanced Networking is a plus.
