Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Claims Consultant to join the team in Hove on a fixed term contract for 12 months. You will work Monday-Friday, 9-5 with 1 day in our Hove office and the rest from home allowing you lots of flexibility for work/ home life balance! Offering up to £25,000 depending on experience.
- You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Claims, ensuring a smooth and efficient claims process.
- Validating and triaging new Group Income protection claims by completing all the required data checks and where appropriate, through liaison with other Group Protection Operations teams.
- Prepare and set up new claims, ensuring appropriate documentation is issued.
- Preparing new and existing Group Income Protection claims for payment, calculating and revising the annual benefit payable. Ensuring that appropriate documentation is issued.
- Where appropriate requesting medical evidence on new and existing claims, from GPs, consultants and other medical specialists.
- Ensuring that claims are reviewed in line with targeted dates as specified during the assessment process.
This role is a mix of telephony and admin.
Qualifications
- Claims background desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Experience of working within Financial Services.
- The drive to take ownership of and resolve customer queries and complaints.
- Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets.
- Capability to carry out thorough and comprehensive investigations to determine eligibility of a Group Income Protection Claim.
