The Product team sits within the Chief of Staff department, responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle management of LGIM’s product ranges in support of the Chief of Staff’s purpose.
The Product Strategy & Development team is a sub-team of Product, responsible for all aspects of product strategy and development of LGIM’s funds and products. Their purpose is to design, deliver and management a client-centric offering, enable achievement of LGIM’s overall commercial strategy, and to ensure LGIM’s product activity is in line with regulatory standards and LGIM’s Product Process.
Job Description
The role holder will be responsible for supporting the product development and management strategy, as well as supporting implementation of new funds, fund amendments or registrations, to support LGIM’s Active Strategies growth ambitions. The role holder will be a senior technical expert managing the development and design of market leading, competitively differentiated and compliant products and propositions across LGIM's range of funds and vehicles or non-vanilla segregated mandates.
The role holder will work closely with Investments, Distribution and other teams such as Risk, Compliance and Operations, supporting the Product Principal in developing product strategy and management plans for Active Strategies, and supporting the design, delivery and maintenance of a robust product offering in conjunction with asset class and vehicle leads within Product. The role holder will also assist with market intelligence and customer insights feeding into product strategy and design.
In this role, there is an expectation that the individual will present at product governance committees, LGIM committees and LGIM or fund boards from time to time.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the international asset management industry with experience launching and managing funds
- A strong understanding of regulation and strong technical knowledge of pooled product structures (including UCITS and non-UCITS) across a range of domiciles and jurisdictions
- Experience in product strategy, development and management
- Previous experience in launching, registering, operating and amending pooled investment funds
- Product life cycle management
- Experience in stakeholder engagement; ability to influence and engage across key stakeholders
