Job Description
We have a fantastic Financial Reporting Manager opportunity that has opened up within our Group Financial Reporting Centre.
In this role you will manage the delivery of an effective and efficient financial reporting service relating to our Retail Protection, Group Protection or Workplace Savings business.
This will include providing accurate financial results, supporting analysis and commentary across a range of financial metrics (e.g. IFRS17 operating profit, SII Surplus, New Business margin, SII SCR) on a timely basis.
You will also disseminate these financial results to a variety of stakeholders across the business (with varying levels of technical knowledge), and ensure that the presentation of this analysis is appropriate for the intended audience.
You will also highlight opportunities to maximise business unit performance across the agreed range of financial metrics and challenge business plans and initiatives to ensure the delivery of anticipated business benefits.
This is a hybrid working opportunity, which means you can split your working week flexibly between your home and our newly refurbished offices in Hove, to help achieve a work-life balance which suits you.
Qualifications
- A Qualified Actuary through the IFoA or equivalent - ideally with at least 1 years’ post qualification experience within a Life Company (although we would also accept applications from Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuaries or other backgrounds)
- Previous UK Financial Reporting experience.
- Knowledge/experience of IFRS17 and Solvency II Reporting Metrics.
- Knowledge/experience of Protection and/or Workplace Pensions Products would be highly beneficial.
- A good understanding of the wider UK Finance sector.
- Great communication skills - with the ability to communicate effectively bother verbally and in writing.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
