The Sr. Manager, Category Management is responsible for account P&L and partnering with cross-functional teams to grow accounts.

This position focuses on setting strategy, owning the number, driving revenue growth, and achieving business goals.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

· Proven experience driving large-scale process improvements resulting in measurable value

· High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

· Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

· Demonstrated ability to influence teams to adopt change utilizing smart technologies

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity exists and continuous innovation is desired

· Committed to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge

· Demonstrated analytical, financial, and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases

· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality

· Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape

· Ability to see ahead comprehensively and devise a strong plan of action, and ensure execution happens on time, every time

· Ability to get things done and produce conclusive, measurable results within time commitments

· Strong influencing skills Develop and implement action plans based on deep-dive analysis of product line metrics

Provides recommendations on business opportunities and long-term strategy for multiple sub-categories

Owns the Retail P&L for multiple accounts; develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvement for the business

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor Degree required

10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Tech or Mobile market

Experience with commercial technologies or consumer electronics

Excellent written & oral communication skills with proven ability to provide clarity in complex situations

Experience producing highly effective presentations to communicate with internal and external customers and executives.

Passion for creating great customer experiences and for solving problems

Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks and meet deadlines

Necessary Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to act as a Business Manager and drive an overall business plan.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company to achieve the business plan.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents, and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives and personal and team goals, and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives.
  • The candidate is well-versed in the e-commerce business and overall direct-to-consumer fundamentals. Can quickly connect digital marketing strategies to effective tactics to grow traffic, conversion, and active users.
  • Able to deeply analyze data and provide recommendations on promotions, offers, consumer journeys, and all related activities needed for acquisition and retention.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric / character distinction and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. This may require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position.
