An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sensors Engineer to join our future programmes EC&I Department at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby supporting the Dreadnought and SSNA programmes.

The future programmes EC&I department designs the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK. You will be involved in delivering sensor design, modifications and providing V&V and build and commissioning support. You will be working closely with the supply chain, the shipbuilder, internal design teams and the internal customer. Electro-Mechanical design engineers from a broad range of equipment design, commissioning and support backgrounds would be considered and specific product-based training will be provided.

What you will be doing:
You will be involved in delivering the full product design lifecycle of sensor products for the Dreadnought programme and the SSNA programme.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
