The V&V team are responsible for delivering the verification of the next-generation Rolls-Royce nuclear reactor control system, including verification of individual control units, sub-system and system level integration and alignment with the wider Submarine platform.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be taking ownership of verification of one or more EC&I products including:
Design, specification, and deployment of custom test rigs.
Review of requirements and allocation of methods
Development of test procedures & test scripts
Testing of EC&I Equipment and compilation of verification evidence and reports.
Integration with the commissioning teams to deploy equipment onto boats.

Essential:
Degree qualified in one of the following disciplines: Electronic, Electrical, Control, Systems or Software Engineering / Those with Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics or other STEM degree will also be considered if relevant experience can be demonstrated.
Systems level Verification and Validation experience.
Analytical and logical mind with numeracy and literacy skills.
Beneficial:
A good technical understanding of high integrity electrical/electronic systems.
Hardware in the Loop test experience.
Coding experience: Python, VBA, MATLAB/Simulink.
Good knowledge of the product design lifecycle including design optioneering, problem solving, definition, verification and validation, justification and safety and final acceptance.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
