The Role:

We are currently looking for a GMP Equipment Management Team Leader to join the CMC team, where you will be overseeing the Equipment Management teams at our Harrogate and York, UK  sites alongside our Greenfield site in Indiana, US.

The CMC division provides end-to-end analytical solutions and testing services to ensure quality control of our clients’ manufactured biopharmaceutical drug products.

The role is to lead the Equipment Management Team for GMP CMC to deliver equipment maintenance, both preventative and reactive, in compliance with current GMP regulations, aligned with scientific best practice and in accordance with defined policies and procedures. 

The incumbent will act as line manager for a team of equipment management associates and participate in continuous improvement through monitoring of appropriate metrics.

The role will liaise closely with the Equipment Compliance Team and Business Systems Implementation Team for equipment lifecycle management and continuing compliance with industry best practice.

                                                             

  • Act as Line Manager for a team of Equipment Management Associates.  Determine day to day schedules, priority actions and collate performance metrics.  Be responsible for recruitment, training, development and performance management activities.
  • Ensure all business activities are conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures and in compliance with GMP, where appropriate.  Manage and approve quality records in accordance with the Quality Management System as assigned to the Team.  Able to train others in quality processes.
  • Have oversight of in house and third-party vendor interactions to ensure delivery of maintenance and qualification activities in a timely manner and according with relevant processes and regulatory requirements.  Approve documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with partner functions, e.g., Equipment Compliance, Business Systems Implementation, Quality Assurance and Laboratory Operations, to adopt industry-best practices for equipment management including installation, qualification, routine maintenance, use and decommissioning.
  • Lead process improvement projects within Equipment Management for global process harmonisation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for complex analytical instrumentation.
