About the role
The successful candidate will provide Maconomy System support and leadership on the Maconomy ERP system and related applications, including EBIS reporting (SAP Business Objects) / Web and Mobile user interfaces to the E&A (Europe & Asia) Group to achieve the required business objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Job Role / Responsibilities
Guidance and collaboration between E&A Finance & Accounting, CIT and Operation teams related to the set-up and maintenance of the system.
Assist in the delivery of System Conversions and integrations delivering to the highest standards, on time, within budget ensuring BAU remains undisrupted and that processes are both highly effective and efficient.
Operate and maintain the Maconomy applications (including People Planner)
Contribute to Business Process Improvement by way of identifying and implementing enhancements that drive greater efficiencies to users and the Business in general.
External tools/products that can interact with Maconomy.
New functionality available through upgrades
Existing functionality not currently used which can deliver further efficiencies.
On-going maintenance and support of the Maconomy accounting system and related applications
Support upgrade processes (both full version upgrades as well as service pack/CU updates)
Support Business Transformation team on financial system upgrades, transitions, implementations, and general process/procedural changes
Train users on all Maconomy modules when and where required.
Evaluating issues and developing solutions to problems encountered with the Maconomy system and related applications.
Communicating with end users on support issues and managing the support process with Maconomy Support
Review and recommend changes to the Maconomy systems ERP portfolio.
Create and maintain data import files to automate/simplify the upload of data.
Maintain and develop system process documentation.
Consult with key users to identify and understand critical requirements (including reporting requirements and enhancements)
Day to day Maconomy ad hoc support to the Business
Ensure timely maintenance and closure of support desk tickets.
Support and provide Analysis and diagnosis of support desk ticketing.
Experience / Skillset
Maconomy systems administration / Knowledge desired but not essential
Previous experience/knowledge of Senior Systems Administrator/System manager role preferred, ideally in an international corporate organisation.
Finance and accounting experience desirable (either system administration supporting finance and broader business stakeholders), or previous experience in a finance and accounting role.
Familiarity with supporting local and international stakeholders.
Clear and confident (oral and written) communicator.
Awareness / understanding of end-to-end life cycle for projects/initiatives.
Power BI or data visualisation skills desirable
Good knowledge of MS office suite of products expected.
Ability to write / amend VBA would be beneficial although not fundamental.
Knowledge of Cloud hosted software solutions.
XML, MPL or Java coding experience would be very welcome (Maconomy Extender skills desirable to support and develop Maconomy back-end customisations)
