Prysmian Group’s Energy Network Solutions (ENS) business is the area of the High Voltage (HV) business dedicated to providing specialist technical services to a wide range of customers. Our ENS business operates a team of engineers, cable jointers and fluid technicians and our 24-hour call out rota system couples with our emergency hotline to ensure that we can provide a response to our customers 24 hours a day. Key to delivering this service is our team of Project Engineers, who undertake project and site management, to ensure the effective and safe delivery of services.
Reporting to the Southern Area Manager we currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer, working within the Southern Area. This role is responsible for supervising a range of installation activities on installation projects and maintenance services throughout the UK. The position will cover, but not be limited to, the following duties:
Who are we looking for?
This position may suit someone who wishes to use his or her technical and project management skills in a new career and has the ability to be flexible to travel throughout the UK and NI for extended periods of time.
Preferable, but not essential depending on experience, an HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Several years’ experience within a construction and/or electricity industry type environment with a good understanding of HV cable systems and construction/civil engineering matters.
A high level of computer literacy.
Proven people management skills and an ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
A UK driving licence is essential.
