Production Line Operator at Prysmian Group

We are hiring 2nd and 3rd shift machine operators. After training, pay starts at $18.36/hour or $21.66/ hour depending on skill level and experience, with shift differential provided for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

$1,000 sign and stay bonus at 6 months and $1,000 at a year.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Up to 12 Hour shifts

Principle duties and responsibilities:

  • Performs all tasks involved in the production of cable/wire. Follows standard work procedures and complies with all safety rules.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures for extrusion operation.
  • Monitors process as per specifications
  • Maintains housekeeping requirements
  • Performs operator Preventative Maintenance Tasks
  • Maintaining and log all information required supporting traceability and quality
  • Participate in cross-training activities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to carry out verbal or written instructions
  • Ability to meet attendance guidelines
  • Ability to work overtime (over 36/40 hours in workweek.
  • Ability to work night shifts, or rotating shift schedule.

Work is regularly performed in factory setting: wood or concrete flooring, noise level usually loud. Due to nature of equipment operation, applicants must be able to concentrate, focus and remain alert for duration of shift.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to Stand 10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to Walk 2 hours per day approximately 40 ft.
  • Must be able to Bend frequently
  • Must be able to Push 19 – 21 lbs frequently
  • Must be able to Pull 2 – 4 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to Reach frequently
  • Must be able to Lift 10 – 40 lbs placing wire in box at waist level 200-250 times per day
  • Must be able to Twist frequently
  • Use hands to grasp - push/pull frequently
