Implementation Consultant
Thomson Reuters’ suite of products helps multinational corporations comply with ever-changing tax, accounting, legal and regulatory requirements across the globe.
The Implementation Consultant’s main responsibility is to guide new clients through implementation of Corporate Legal applications, including HighQ, Contract Express & Legal Tracker and ensure that all commitments and obligations for the client are met and/or exceeded throughout the process. The Consultant works as a trusted advisor by establishing, maintaining and growing the long-term relationship with new clients.
Reporting to the Manager, Professional Services, this role will require the successful candidate to collaborate with colleagues in the UK and elsewhere in Europe to implement Thomson Reuters’ products for in-house corporate legal teams. This role is client-facing, requiring a good working knowledge of legal software and experience of working on legal software technology implementations. Fluency in English is required and other European languages, would be a bonus.
About the Role
Acting as a non-technical consultant, assisting customers with the deployment and roll out of the Contract Express system, providing consultancy services such as document automation, training, and assuming responsibility for client project management under the direction of the team manager, and working with / delegating to junior members of the team
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Liaise internally with product, content and sales teams as required, as well as with external implementation partners.
You will be involved in requirements gathering, deployment management, automated content creation, training, go-live & support, project planning and use consultation. You will be required to take full ownership of the entire project lifecycle, coordinating other team members in delivery.
Assisting in growth of Corporate Legal and Thomson Reuters’ product and services business.
Support new opportunities and existing customers in the delivery of projects and automation solutions.
Create content for the document assembly solution based on analyzing and dissecting legal documents into their components to create precise designs for automation. Provide support designing and creating automated legal templates.
Provide customer training on content creation and system administration.
Project management responsibilities for larger client engagements
Adhere to operational requirements, standards and best practices for delivery of professional services. Contribute to ongoing improvements and efficiencies across the project management phases, drawing from personal experience, market trends and emerging technologies to deliver an enhanced customer experience.
Ensuring client's successful and optimum utilization of Corporate Legal products and solutions.
Providing advice and supplying best practices to improve corporate legal department operations and initiatives
About You
Proven experience in legal software implementations, project life cycles and software implementation methodologies.
Extensive experience and knowledge of Contract Express
Good understanding of modern office technologies, especially Microsoft Word.
Capable of learning, understanding, and communicating higher level technical information
Strong team working and ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
Proven consultant experience, particularly understanding client requirements, explaining the best practice approach for an implementation and understanding the clients need for process efficiency.
Effectively communicate project status and progress to all relevant team members, customers and other stakeholders.
Ability to multi-task and handle deadline pressures.
Fluency in English is required and other European languages, would be beneficial.
Enterprise-level project management
Experience working in a legal department or firm
Familiarity with Contract Express offerings
Experience with legal technology tools (such as HighQ) would be a strong benefit
Working at a very detailed level on standalone projects and in reporting to clients
Candidate must be educated to degree level or equivalent in either technology or legal area.
Project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) desirable, but not essential
