The Opportunity:
The Finance Manager - Technology & Innovation position resides within the US Dia affiliate (RDC Finance) and plays a key role in support of Commercial activities. In this role, you will lead a Chapter of Financial Center of Excellence (FiCoE) members to enable achievement of strategic priorities for your team and provide critical support for other FiCoE Chapters, Enterprise Leads, and various RDC commercial activities.
As Finance Manager - Technology & Innovation, you will lead a team that:
Integrates, synthesizes, utilizes, and ensures the quality of data to form insights that guide our results and strategies, and helps decision makers understand the landscape we work in and identify additional financial value-adding opportunities.
Owns the tools, datasets, data sources, and processes that are critical to the reporting, analytical, and commercial responsibilities of all FiCoE Chapters.
Provides analytics and insights, resource allocation models and financial modeling tools.
Enables Stakeholders to focus on their key priorities, while enabling more timely, impactful, and effective decision-making.
Ensures that technological advances are integrated in the insights generation processes.
Scales expertise for future efforts and constantly strives to streamline and/or upgrade processes.
Establishes and maintains robust financial reporting systems, processes and financial controls to ensure integrity and reliability of financial statements and information.
Establishes and maintains strong partnership with internal Finance colleagues as well as Business Partners as required.
Understands and lives the Finance Framework, mindset, and behaviors by exhibiting an entrepreneur mindset, providing specialist expertise, owning end-to-end processes and systems, and safeguarding the value of the business for stakeholders.
The Finance Manager - Technology & Innovation also takes a leadership role in fostering development and alignment across the various local and global Business Intelligence teams that rely on similar tools and data sources to support their Roche stakeholders.
Key Leadership responsibilities:
As a leader within the finance organization, you cultivate a purpose-driven culture of inclusion, agility and excellence
You lead your Chapter as a visionary, architect, coach and catalyst) within FiCoE
As a member of the FiCoE Leadership Team, you are accountable to deliver short term financial targets while creating sustainable value in the long term
Provide insights, financial and business analysis for enabling enterprise and functional outcomes, and steering and monitoring of holistic company performance
Enable financial flexibility and ensure optimal allocation of valuable resources to aligned, prioritized outcomes
Drive finance processes, delivering high quality and compliant financials required to support short and long-term planning, reporting, nd decision-making
Collaborate across the broader Roche organization to co-create solutions that ensure broad and equitable access of our diagnostics to patients and provide value to our customers
Key Finance Responsibilities:
In this role you will drive data, automation, reporting, and analytics initiatives. You will contribute broadly to the organization and create valuable impact through this role.
Develops Chapter strategy and drives standards and practices, as well as team development, training, and knowledge sharing
Subject matter expert on Roche data architecture, platforms, and tools.
Develop and maintain financial/management reporting processes, systems, and databases
Effectively deal with routine data challenges
Act as first level support for local finance team
Develop and support complex financial models and reporting
Partner with Roche colleagues around the world
Demonstrate ability to identify data process and business analytics challenges/gaps and proactively recommend innovative solutions to address these challenges
May contribute or lead other projects in the Finance Center of Excellence, as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or a related field
7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Prior leadership experience with direct people leadership responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of leadership experience preferred
Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to succinctly convey relevant information across multiple levels of the organization and confidently project a professional image that fosters relationship building and collaboration.
Independent, entrepreneurial, self-driven, problem solving attitude
SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, SAP experience preferred
Experience/ability working in an Agile environment
