As a Quality Control Technician, you will be able to completes laboratory preventative maintenance activities, as required. Acquire and apply job skills, company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Assignments are routine to semi-routine in nature.
Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process finished formulations and/or customer returned finished product according to standard operating procedures. Calibrate and maintains lab equipment as required. Participate in the preparation of investigations, summaries and reports. Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities. Revises and updates standard operating procedures as needed. May perform special projects on analytical and instrument problem solving or on process improvements.
Learning and developing professional expertise. Applies company policy and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on projects of limited to moderate scope. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices. Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
The opportunity:
- Performs analyses of in-process materials to determine conformance to accepted specification, and product verifications to ensure products are qualified for production use
- Performs Test stand Preventative Maintenance procedures for the purpose of ensuring proper test stand operations, and investigational testing of production & pilot material, as needed
- Performs Stability Testing (with direction from senior technicians) that monitors product claims, relative to product shelf life, and Pilot Testing which leads to product and/or process changes.
- Compiles data for documentation of test procedures that may include biochemical and chemical assays, stability program testing and formulation studies.
- Participates in the preparation of investigations, summaries and reports. May develop testing methods. Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities.
Who you are?
- You posses a Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field or equivalent experience
Preferred:
- You have an intermediate computer knowledge, including basic understanding of Microsoft Office software, SAP, Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)
- You have 1+ year experience working in laboratory environment, technical or scientific experience
- You have 1+ year experience working in a regulatory environment
- You have 1+ year experience with process improvement
