We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational senior quality engineering specialist who has worked in the Insurance or Finance industry to join our Quality Engineer & Release community here at Aviva. We are investing in transforming our Quality Engineering Centre of Excellence and this is a critical role to shape and implement the quality engineering standards & patterns.
A bit about the job:
As the Quality Engineering Architect Lead, you will be accountable for:
Leading the Quality Engineering Architects, embedding a quality first mindset, responsibility for designing QE solutions, automation standards, monitoring their use and adapting the QE framework based on results.
Be able to demonstrate strong collaboration skills with experience of working with senior Business & IT leaders. You can demonstrate you are an inspirational leader of a combined team of permanent and partner capability delivery quality outcomes.
Being an advocate for continuous improvements, promoting a culture where quality has equal consideration and objectivity as time & cost. Be able to demonstrate strong experience of managing risks and aligning QE framework to enable timely mitigations.
Be able to demonstrate how you have implemented emerging quality engineering trends and practical application of existing, new, and evolving testing operating models, governance, and assurance.
Aviva operates a “smart working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office this role is based in; Bristol/York/Perth/London.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
System development life cycle methodologies, implementing QE metrics delivering efficiency, automation, & quality improvements experience is essential.
Experience setting QE standards and patterns implementing best practices, asset libraries, test data & tooling strategies.
Both functional and non-functional experience including performance, security & accessibility testing.
In depth understanding of how to define & manage risks, issues & interdependencies as they relate to QE standards and patterns.
Establish positive stakeholder & QE industry relationships by connecting through collaboration.

National Salary Circa £90,000, London Salary Circa £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity 12% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
