Financial Reporting Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (National) / £50,000 - £75,000 (London)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team within the Group Financial Controller area, that is at the forefront of delivering financial information our customers have confidence in.
This is a great job for a qualified accountant with demonstrable post-qualified experience (preferably in consolidation accounting), who wishes to gain experience within one of the UK’s largest insurance companies.
This role presents a great opportunity to join the Group Consolidation & Reporting function within Aviva plc’s Group External Reporting (GER) team, working closely with a wide range of finance teams, both at business unit and Group levels and to gain a deep understanding of the drivers behind Aviva Plc’s quarterly results and prepare the Group’s consolidated financial results.
A bit about the job:
This role is an opportunity to join the Financial Consolidation team, supporting the Group’s wider finance function through the provision of financial reporting for management information and external reporting purposes, including the production of Aviva plc’s IFRS consolidated financial statements and notes, interim report and quarterly trading updates. The team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial consolidation and reporting processes are maintained, reporting timelines are adhered to, and key controls are operating effectively.
The successful candidate will work proactively, develop collaborative relationships across the Group, and will be responsible for key aspects of Group reporting processes that support Aviva’s key deliverables and strategic messaging.
The GER team is part of the Group Financial Controller area and is principally responsible for meeting the regulatory and statutory reporting requirements for the Group. These include annual reporting, interim half year results and quarterly business performance. The team works closely with operating business units and other group finance functions to prepare reports and data analysis that provide valuable insights for internal reporting to Plc Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and other relevant internal committees.
